Preparation
Before applying Sika Evercryl, thoroughly inspect the surface and remove any contaminants, including dirt, dust, grease, debris and organic growth. Use a stiff-bristled brush to clean the area, and treat any moss, algae or other organic growth with a suitable cleaner.
Treat any rusted areas with a rust-inhibiting primer before application. Prime all non-bituminous, porous or friable surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of the coating.
Replace any severely damaged tiles, slates, sheets or other roofing materials before starting the repair. While Sika Evercryl can bridge and seal small cracks, it cannot repair broken or heavily damaged roofing components.
Application
- Stir thoroughly before using, ensuring all the pigment is mixed
- Using a brush, apply one coat at a rate of 1-2 litres per square metre
- In certain cases, you may need a second coat, which should be applied 2-3 days after the initial coat.
Limitations
- This product should not be applied in areas where subsequent solvent or oil contact is likely.
- Avoid inhaling any of the vapours
- Do not apply to Styrofoam or PVC foil
