Everbuild 208 Powder Mortar Tone inhibits efflorescence preventing awful unsightly discolouration on the surface, and it is chloride-free and helps prevents bleeding and segregation within the compound itself. Available in various colours, you have the opportunity to transform the visual appearance of your project. This product has been tested and trialled against EN 12878; it has passed and is intended to be used in concrete, mortar or grout.
Preparation
Before starting the application, prepare the surfaces properly and remove all contaminants that could hinder the product. Ensure the structure is mechanically sound, walls should be wire-brushed, and old paint, oil, grease, surface laitance and other similar contaminants must also be removed.
Application
Apply the Everbuild 208 Powder Mortar Tone directly to dry sand, cement, and aggregate BEFORE adding water. Mix the solution well until the colour is appropriately dispersed across it all. You should only add a rate up to 8% by cement weight, ensuring you do not exceed this amount.
Limitations
- Do not use 208 Powder Motar Tone more than 8% of the weight of cement. Otherwise, this will reduce the strength of the mix.
- Always use identical batches of powder mortar tone; this is due to slight colour differences between each batch that can show on the finished project.
- Do not use this product with lime.
- Be careful when using other plasticising admix as the strength of the admixes will reduce.
