Uses

Everflex 335 Construction Silicone by Everbuild delivers outstanding adhesion to various construction surfaces. It is an exceptional product that creates a weather-tight bond that prevents water from entering, and it can be used on surfaces such as glass, aluminium and PVC, which most typical sealants won't adhere to. This product is the ideal choice for perimeter pointing on various surfaces around the internal and external areas of the building.

Preparations

Clean the surface before applying, and remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, and other impurities. If there is any flaking on the surface, old mastic or sealant, then you must remove this to prevent interference with the adhesion. Most surfaces won't need a primer; however, some might need one, and it is suggested that you test this product in a small area before completing the whole application.

Application

1. Cut the top of the cartridge, taking care not to damage the threaded screw.
2. Screw the nozzle onto the cartridge, and cut the nozzle at a 45° angle with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be filled.
3. Using a standard sealant gun, apply a firm, even pressure onto the handle; this will guarantee an even bead.

Limitations

• Do not apply this to surfaces that bleed oils, solvents or plasticisers.
• This product isn't suitable for application in areas immersed in water.
• Some compatibility problems may occur with some cPVC piping.
