Uses
The PinkGrip SF But It's White by Everbuild is the ultimate bonding adhesive with unrivalled strength; it removes the requirement of temporary support for many bonding applications. If you're a user of the standard PinkGrip product, you'll love this version as it achieves everything the original does without the pink. Applications this product is typically applied in include;
- Bonding dado rails, skirting and architraves
- Fixing wall cladding to internal walls or timber battens
- Fixing battens directly onto walls without the need for fastening
- Bonding carpet gripper system to most floors without the need for tacks or nails
- Bonding stair nosing to concrete or wooden stairs
- Securing aluminium or other skin panels to frameworks, portable industrial buildings, and cabins.
Preparation
Preparing the surface is essential to achieve optimal adhesion. Prepare the surface by removing any contaminants that can interfere with the bonding, including dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
Application
- Cut the top of the cartridge, ensuring you don't damage the threaded screw.
- Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle, with an opening to the required size you need and screw it onto the cartridge.
- Place the cartridge into a standard sealant applicator tool.
- Point directly to the surface, covering it with a zig-zag application.
- Bring the surfaces together, slightly twisting or shifting them as you align them, as this will spread the adhesive across the surface, delivering a stronger, optimal bond.
Limitations and Notes
- This product should not be used if both surfaces are non-porous. (plastic to plastic - metal to metal)
- This product is not suitable to be used as a mirror adhesive
- Although this product can be applied externally, it does massively affect the curing time.
