Uses
The Block Paving Sealer by Resiblock is a urethane-based, low-viscosity prepolymer paving sealer and jointing sand stabiliser that delivers exceptional performance. Crafted by Resiblock Scientists, this product is brewed to protect mineral surfaces from unwanted stains and damage, ensuring their natural colour is protected and maintained for a long-lasting life.
Preparation
Ensure that the surface and jointing sand are thoroughly dry and free from contaminants such as dirt, grease, oil, dust, etc. Before applying this product, there cannot be any jointing sand standing on the surface, only in the gaps between each brick/tile/block/slab. You can optionally apply fresh jointing sand to the gaps before applying the Resiblock Block Paving Sealer; this will seal it once the application is complete.
Application
It's suggested to use the 'Resiroller', a Resiblock Pile Roller specifically designed not to pull up jointing sand; an alternative Pile Roller may not be effective when applying this product and may ruin the jointing.
- Apply the Block Paving Sealer thoroughly to the surface using a Pile Roller to spread it across the surface. Take care not to overlap whilst applying this.
- If the surface is Clay Pavers, only apply one coat. Other surfaces should allow between 3 and 24 hours before applying the second coat.
- Whilst the application is occurring, do not traffic the area by foot or vehicle as it can damage the Block Paving Sealer performance.
Limitations and Notes
- PVC Gloves and protective clothing on the face and skin should be worn to prevent skin contact.
- This product is flammable; avoid smoking or allowing naked flames near it.
