Uses

The Thermofoam by Everbuild is an excellent, high-quality PU expanding foam that is extremely flexible, creating a gap filler that absorbs component movement and providing an air-tight seal that reduces heat loss and improves your energy efficiency. Its excellent long-term thermal properties also include acoustic insulating features suitable to reduce noise up to 64 dB. Applications that this product is typically used in include;

  • Perfect for window installation. Clean, controlled back-filling and insulating sealing of the window and external roller blind cavities.
  • Gap filling of external doors must be used in conjunction with mechanical fixings.
  • Filling the cavity area caused by breaking through walls. Compatible with all types of utilities and services.

Preparation

Ensure the surface is clean, sound and free from contaminants such as dirt, dust, loose particles, oil, grease, etc. All surfaces should be slightly moistened, aiding the curing process.

Application

  1. Shake the can thoroughly before using it (About 20 times)
  2. Remove the black cap and screw it onto a suitable foam applicator tool/gun, taking care not to over-tighten it.
  3. The trigger should be slightly depressed gently to control the foam release, filling the cavity layer by layer. Ensure that you don't over-fill the cavity as the foam expands up to 30%
  4. Once cured, any excess foam can be mechanically removed with a knife or scraper.
  5. Ensure that all tools and any spillages that may have occurred are cleaned immediately after using the Everbuild Foam Cleaner.

Limitations and Notes

  • Created for professional use only
  • Do not over-pressurize container
  • Always apply this product when the temperature is above 5°C.
  • After using the foam gun, any spillages that occur should be cleaned with the Everbuild Foam Cleaner.
