Evo-Stik Anti-Bacterial Sanitary Silicone Sealant - 290ml

The Anti-Bacterial Sanitary Silicone Sealant by Evo-Stik is an excellent, bacteria-murdering sealant that offers excellent adhesion to non-porous surfaces whilst preventing unwanted mould or fungi growth. A unique feature of this product is its ability to kill life-threatening bacteria, such as E. coli, Salmonella and MRSA. Surfaces that are ideal for application include;

Preparation

It's important to prepare the surface before application. To achieve this, wipe the area down, removing contaminants that can hinder the adhesion of this product. After cleaning the area, you must ensure it's totally dry before applying the sealant.

Application

1. Cut the top of the cartridge, ensuring not to damage the threaded screw.
2. Screw the nozzle onto the top of the cartridge.
3. Place the cartridge into a standard applicator tool.
4. Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle with an opening of a few mm.
5. Point the tip of the nozzle onto the surface and apply firm and consistent pressure as you work along the surface.
6. Tool down the sealant within 20 minutes of the application and allow up to 24 hours for the sealant to completely dry. (It will form hard skin after 30 minutes of application.)

Aftercare

It's essential to maintain the quality of this sealant to retain its bacteria-murdering properties. After it's dried, you should clean it regularly and not allow grime, grease or other contaminants to build up over time; otherwise, it'll lose its active defence.
