Uses
The Gorilla Glue is an excellent, powerful adhesive perfect for application to various substrates. It is delivered in a small, easy-to-use tube that extrudes a resin that makes contact and instantly begins to cure into an unbreakable bond. Its formula is forged from a polyurethane formula that expands, creating small but excellent gap-filling properties. Its high-strength bond is 100% resistant to water and heat temperatures, making it perfect for interior and exterior applications.
Preparation
Before commencing the application, it's important to prepare the areas to ensure optimal results are achieved. Remove any contaminants on the surface that can hinder adhesion, including dirt, dust, grease, oil, organic growth, loose debris, flaking material, etc.
Application
- Due to this product curing upon moisture, you should lightly dampen all surfaces to be bonded with water, ensuring that you don't saturate the surface and do not add it to the glue.
- Apply a thin layer of adhesive to either surface, taking care not to apply it over. The glue, while curing, will expand up to 3-4 times its original size.
- Bring the surfaces together using clamps and hold tight for at least 1-2 hours. If you don't have clamps, placing weighted objects over the surface will help keep it compressed.
- After using the glue, you wipe the bottle's nozzle clean using a dry cloth, squeeze all the air out of the bottle, and secure the lid back on.
