Uses
The 5-Minute Multi-Purpose Finish Filler by Ronseal offers exceptional gap-filling properties, with a fast-acting formula allowing filling, decorating and finishing all within an hour. The specially formulated product by Ronseal allows application onto various surfaces, including;
- Plaster
- Interior Wood
- Interior Stone
- Interior Concrete
Preparation
Before filling any gaps, you must always prepare the surface to achieve an optimal finish. Complete this by wiping away any contaminants in the hole, including dirt, dust, grease, oil and similar impurities. After removing it all, wipe the surface so it's dry, and then you can start the application.
Application
- Scoop some filler out of the tub and press it into the hole, ensuring you press firmly to reach every corner and crevice.
- Whilst it is still wet, you should smooth it down using a wet knife.
- In certain gaps, they can be larger than 70mm, and if so, only apply one load of filler, wait 5 minutes, then apply a second, loading it at the same rate until the whole area is filled.
- Wait 15 minutes after the final layer before painting over it.
Aftercare
Due to the nature of the product, once you've painted over it, you cannot care for the filler; instead, you must care for the paint. Any tools used should be cleaned using warm, soapy water.
