Uses

The Dustproofer by Sika is a potent, high-performance dustproofer and surface hardener for concrete. Sika crafted it using insoluble crystals, which, when bound together, offer an impermeable, non-dusting surface, perfect for concrete and paving. It's economical and ready to use, offering the user value for money and a more straightforward application. Applications this product has typically been applied in include;

• Dustproofing and hardening concrete floors, drives and paths
• Suitable for interior and exterior use
• Ideal for new or existing surfaces that have no surface coating
• Perfect for industrial units, warehouses, garages, factories, and anywhere which will experience dusting issues

Preparation

Prepare the surface by cleaning it and removing contaminants, including oil, grease, dirt, dust, etc. Any loose or friable material must be removed, and the surface must be entirely dry for this product to work. If you're applying this product to new concrete, allow 21 days for it to cure.

Application

1. Stir this product thoroughly before using it, and wear rubber shoes.
2. Pour the Sika Dustproofer over the surface evenly.
3. Spread the product using a brush or broom, ensuring even penetration and avoiding pooling or puddles.
4. If any material is not absorbed, mop it up before drying.
5. After 24 hours, apply a second coat using the same method above. Extremely porous surfaces may require a 3rd coat.
6. After completing the application, wash the surface with water.

Limitation and Notes

• This product should only be used on cement-containing surfaces.
• Any unreacted material should be removed via mopping.
• This product will only restore badly disintegrated concrete if remedial work is completed.
• Do not treat new concrete that's been laid and still within 21 days.
• You should not paint on this product.
