Sika Stone Protector - Clear 5 Litre

Uses

The Stone Protector by Sika is an excellent water-based mineral and stone surface protector that takes only one coat and dries in just 3 hours. It's exceptional for interior and exterior applications, with resistance to wine, coffee, tea, and water. Overall, it's the go-to product for a user-friendly application due to its solvent-free formula and easy application. Applications this product is typically applied in include;

• Perfect for use on natural stone, including granite, slate, limestone and Indian sandstone
• Ideal for paths, patio and block paving internally and externally

Preparation

Prepare the surface by cleaning it and removing contaminants, including dirt, grease, oil, dust, etc. Any organic growth should be removed appropriately, and if you choose to powerwash the surface to prepare, ensure it's fully dry before commencing the project.

Application

1. Shake thoroughly before using it.
2. Apply in dry weather using a long pile roller or brush.
3. When applying, take care that you cover the whole surface but do not allow ponding or pooling.
4. Although this product is a one-coat-wonder, Indian sandstone will require a second coat, which should be applied 30 minutes after the first coat whilst the surface is still wet.

Limitations and Notes

• Do not apply this product if it's raining or if rain is imminent within the day.
• This product should not be applied to painted surfaces or previously treated substrates with stearate or silicone-based water seals.
• In areas that reach 150°, this product should not be applied as it will decompose.
• Applying this product to white surfaces can cause white marks underneath.
• Non-porous surfaces are unsuitable for this product as the Sika Stone Protector cannot penetrate them.
