Aluminium Soakers

Aluminium soakers are a lightweight and robust alternative to lead soakers. They are used when forming a pitched roof against an existing wall, making them a superb product for roofers.

What are soakers?

Soakers are small L-shaped brackets that fit under tiles and are flat against the wall. Their upright side collects water so it can safely drain into the gutter rather than leaking through the roof. Soakers are easy to use and serve a vital function in waterproofing a common feature of many British roofs.

What variations can I purchase?

At ERoofing, we sell aluminium soakers in packs of 10, 25, 50, and 100, with larger packets offering a bulk discount. We also sell aluminium soakers in two different lengths – 6” and 12”.

Why aluminium instead of lead?

Aluminium is lighter and easier to work with than lead, and it’s also more resistant to variations in temperature. This makes it an excellent candidate to make soakers out of.

Any tips to get started with soakers?
