Uses
The Everflex 195 Siliconised Acrylic Sealant by Everbuild delivers outstanding strength when binding surfaces together and is suitable for interior and exterior use. You can use this product on surfaces such as;
- Timber
- Metal
- PVCu
- Brickwork
- Stone
- Plaster
- Concrete
- Polystyrene
- Cork
- Wood block flooring
The list of surfaces this product can adhere to shows the effectiveness and strength that this product is capable of. Not only suitable as a perimeter sealant, you can use this product to fill gaps and crack on multiple surfaces.
Preparation
Ensure you prepare all surfaces before applying, and remove any dust, oil, grease, dirt and similar contaminant that can interfere with this product adhesion. If there is any old sealant, mastic or similar substance, remove it, a brilliant product that achieves it is the de-bond product.
Application
- Cut the tip of the cartridge without damaging the threaded screw.
- Screw the nozzle onto the top of the cartridge, and cut it at a 45° angle with an opening slightly larger than the area to be filled.
- Apply using a standard sealant gun, and maintain an even pressure to provide an even bead for the strongest bond.
- Smooth down within 20 minutes of application, and use a wetted spatula, spoon or applicator tool will achieve this.
- If you intend to paint over this product, wait 1 hour for it to start skinning.
Limitations
- If applying this product externally, protect it for 12 hours to ensure rain doesn't damage the adhesion
- Do not use this product if in conjunction with bitumen or asphalt
- Do not attempt to abrade when cured
- Ensure you wait until the skin has formed before applying paints.
