Everbuild Forever White Silicone Sealant – 295ml (Box of 12)

Uses

The Forever Range by Everbuild is a high-quality mould shield product that can achieve up to 10 years of protection against the growth of mould, mildew, or bacteria. It's perfect for application areas that suffer from high humidity levels, achieved by its water resistance and flexibility.

This product can be used to:

• Seal baths, showers, wetrooms, sanitary ware, kitchens, ceramic tiles and all application areas of high humidity or areas that demand hygiene protection
• Seal around internal window and door frames, which are subject to high levels of condensation

Preparation

Prior to application, it is important to prepare the application surface. Clean the surface with soapy water to remove any dirt, oil, grease and dust, etc which may interfere with the adhesion. Fill any deep gaps using an expanding foam, then trim back level with the bath / shower tray. If you are planning on applying this product to plastic & acrylic baths, fill the bath half full with water for both the sealing and curing process; as this will provide a degree of movement for if the bath is full or empty.

Application

1. Start by cutting the top of the cartridge, taking care not to damage the threaded screw.
2. Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle, with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be filled.
3. Point the tip of the nozzle to one end of the gap and apply one singular bead along the whole surface. (Note: you can use masking tape to help prevent you from making a mess)
4. After applying the sealant, smooth it down within 15 minutes before the skin starts to form.

Limitations and Notes

• This product is not suitable for application on surfaces that bleed oils or plasticisers
• Do not apply this on substrates or areas that are bitumen/pitched-based
