Uses
The PinkGrip Dryfix FR by Everbuild delivers a high-performance, unmatched adhesive that's perfect for replacing traditional mechanical fixings. The Everbuild technicians formulate it in compliance with Fire Rating EN13501, which is the classification for construction products and building elements. Although supplied in a pressurised container, this product should only be used in conjunction with the PinkGrip Dryfix Applicator Gun. Applications this product is typically applied to include;
- Fixing plasterboards to solid walls. Fixing plasterboards to metal and timber stud walls and battens.
- Bonding insulation boards to most substrates.
- Fixing roof decking and floorboards to beams.
- Compatible to bond with Masonry, plaster, timber, metal, concrete, insulation boards, polystyrene, polyurethane, asphalt, bitumen and much more.
Preparation
Prepare the surface to ensure optimal results when completing the application. Start by cleaning the surface, focusing on removing impurities that may interfere with the ability of this product to adhere and perform. Remove any dirt, grease, oil, dust, etc; after cleaning the surface, ensure it's sound and bone dry.
Application
- Shake the can thoroughly, at least 20 times, and continue to do it regularly throughout the application.
- Screw the canister onto the PinkGrip Dryfix Applicator Gun, making sure it's not forced too tight but secure.
- Point the tip of the applicator gun and apply the adhesive to the surface.
- Bring the surface together and hold it for at least 1 minute to cure.
Limitations and Notes
- Any unwanted spillage that may occur can be cleaned whilst still wet with the Dual Purpose Foam Cleaner.
- After completing the application, clean the Applicator Gun with the Dual Purpose Foam Cleaner. Otherwise, you'll render the gun inoperable due to foam curing and clogging it up.
- After using the product, you can store it for use later on but no longer than one month.
- Do not push items into the valve; this may cause a compression issue and an explosion.
- You must apply this product at temperatures between 2°C and 20°C. This is due to the product clogging up in the cold; you may store it in a warm area prior to ensure it works seamlessly.
- Any foam that cures must be removed mechanically.
