Uses

The Multi-Purpose Wood Filler by Ronseal delivers excellent gap-filling solutions with this superb wood filler that offers robust, long-lasting properties. Suitable in various sizes, as well as tubes, tubs or cartridges, you can choose your choice of application, offering both experienced tradespeople and novice D.I.Yers the ability to complete the job to a professional standard.

Preparation

Prepare the area you intend to fill by lightly sanding it down, using a wet cloth to wipe away loose bits or dust. Let it dry completely, and then you can proceed with the application.

Application (Cartridge)

1. Cut the top of the cartridge, ensuring you don't damage the threaded screw.
2. Screw the nozzle onto the cartridge.
3. Using a sealant applicator tool, fit the cartridge into it.
4. Apply the filler directly to the hole or crack, pushing it in to ensure it fills the void.
5. If the gap is quite deep, fill it up to 5mm deep, let it dry and apply another layer of filler on top, using the same 5mm depth until the hole is filled.
6. Using an applicator tool or wet knife, smooth the filler before it dries.
7. After it's dried, which takes about 2 hours, you can proceed with decorating or screwing into it as much as you like.

Aftercare

You don't need to do anything to maintain this filler as it protects and supports itself.
