Lead Sealants
Lead sealants are intended for lead masonry, and lead brick pointed work and avoid the predicaments of cracking and lack of adhesion associated with mortar joints. They have great adhesion to metals and have low dirt pick up. Suitable for expansion joints.
Using Lead Sealants
A lead sealant is typically easy to apply. Depending on which brand you choose, different instructions will apply. However, always wash your hands well before eating, drinking or smoking after using any lead sealant. Moreover, when working with lead, follow standard health and safety procedures as designed out in Control of Lead at Work Regulations 2002.
Advantages of Lead Sealant
There are many great points for using lead sealant including that it has great adhesion to metals while not staining or corroding them unlike other sealants. Typical lead sealants withing our range also have excellent external weathering properties and low and high temparature resistance.
