Everbuild KOS Fire Cement – Buff 300ml

Uses

KOS Fire Cement by Everbuild is an excellent product that resists high temperatures. It comes in a ready-mixed blend of thermo-setting resins and temperature-resistant inorganic fillers that cures when exposed to heat to give a seal that is resistant to heat.

Preparation

The surfaces must be prepared, remove any dust, oil, grease or other contaminants present, and wet all surfaces to give a good key.

Application

1. Cut the top of the cartridge, taking care not to damage the threaded screw.
2. Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle and fit it into a standard sealant gun/applicator.
3. Using a firm, continuous pressure, apply a zig-zag motion over the surface, ensuring that when you press the surface together, it spreads, filling the whole surface.

Limitations

• This product is not suitable as a gas sealant
• Always moisten the surface before applying
• Always apply heat gradually
• The Black will turn into a buff/grey colour above 650°C
• Not suitable for use where the product is exposed to water
