Uses

The PinkGrip MS by Everbuild provides the ultimate adhesion, with a bonding strength so durable and robust it provides long-lasting application with an almost unbreakable resistance. It has been crafted with a composite of hybrid polymers, which enhances its properties and allows it to achieve outstanding results. Application this product is typically used in include;

• Bonding dado rales, skirting and architraves
• Fixing battens directly onto walls without fastenings
• Bonding stair nosing to concrete or wooden stairs
• Applications where resistance to chemical spillages is required
• Any applications requiring high-performance, durable bonding
• Bonding mirrors to most common substrates
• As a high-quality nail replacement adhesive event to wet surfaces

Preparation

Prepare the surface by removing any impurities that can hinder the adhesion. You should remove dirt, dust, oil, grease and anything else present that can interfere with dusty surfaces. If you cannot clean them, prime the surface, and it will be suitable.

Application

1. Cut the top of the cartridge, taking care not to damage the threaded screw.
2. Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle with an opening of about 6mm and screw it onto the top of the cartridge.
3. Place the cartridge into a standard sealant applicator tool/gun.
4. Apply the adhesive to one of the surfaces.
5. Bring the two surfaces together, slightly twisting it on contact and firmly holding it together. When bonding heavier surfaces, temporary support is recommended for curing.

Limitations

• When applying onto overhead handings, use mechanical support fixing as well
• Large mirrors should have mechanical fixing applied as well as the adhesive
• For heavier items, temporary support is suggested until the curing process is complete
• Do not seal mirror edges or plastic sheeting until the adhesive is cured
• Do not use on surfaces that bleed oils or plasticisers
• Overpainting is suitable, but preliminary tests are recommended to ensure compatibility
• Do not use polyethene safety-backed mirrors
• This product will not stick to Teflon or difficult plastics like PTFE and Polypropylene.
• Preliminary tests with stone are suggested as staining and compatibility may be an issue.
