Ronseal Garden Paint - Pink Jasmine 750ml

The Garden Paint by Ronseal is crafted to deliver excellent colour to various surfaces; with 3 coats offering an optimal finish, you can get up to 3m² coverage with this 750ml tin. Not only offering a vibrant colour but excellent waterproofing properties, this product can adhere to various surfaces, including;

• Benches
• Metals
• Brickwork
• Terracotta
• Stone

Preparation

You must only apply this product in a warm environment with no rain present or forecasted. Otherwise, you'll not achieve the full potential of this paint. With new wood, you must allow up to six weeks for weathering and have its coatings washed away, then lightly sand the surface to remove any excess fibres and splinters.

Use a lint-free cloth to wipe away any dust or other contaminants that have settled on the surface.

When applying this product onto the surface like old wood, treat any rotten or soft wood by removing it. Lightly sand the surface to an even finish, removing any dust or similar contaminants that fall onto the surface.

Sheds and fences should be prepared with a stiff wire brush, the same with brick and stone as well. Terracotta surfaces should be sanded until the glazing is removed, and to check if it's been removed, apply some water to the surface, checking to see if it beads. If it does, you need to continue sanding until it stops beading.

When applying to metal, you'll need to prime the surface to help the garden paint adhere to the surface.

Application

1. Thoroughly stir the paint in the tin; this is to mix all the pigments together
2. Using a brush, apply the paint directly to the surface; if it's wood, follow the woodgrain with the strokes
3. Wait four hours for the first coat to dry, then apply the second.
4. Repeat this for a third and final coat.

Aftercare

It is essential to maintain the quality of the paint by looking after the surface and regularly cleaning it to stop any contaminants from damaging the paint. If the paint is damaged or worn over time, you can apply a fresh coat to the surface to maintain colour and protection.
