Uses
30 Min D4 Gel Pu Wood Adhesive Trade by Soudal is a perfect, well-rounded adhesive that enables various applications most other products struggle with. One of these includes the filling characteristic; the foam formation created by this product allows for uneven surfaces to be bonded effectively. This product has fantastic resilience to water, offering applications externally as well as high humidity. This product can bond windows and door frames, including the corner connection.
Preparation
Before commencing the application, prepare the surface by removing any contaminants that can hinder the adhesion. These include dirt, dust, oil, grease and similar impurities. This product doesn't need a primer; however, spraying the surface with a bit of water is suggested. This is due to the adhesive curing when exposed to moisture in the air and will optimise the application.
Application
- Cut the top of the cartridge, being careful not to damage the threaded screw.
- Screw the nozzle onto the cartridge, cutting it at a 45° angle.
- Apply using a standard sealant gun, and apply the adhesive onto one of the surfaces to be bonded.
- Bring the two surfaces together and clamp within 30 minutes of application for at least 3 hours to achieve the maximum possible strength.
