Soudal's technical team forged this product with fantastic resistance, focusing on preventing discolouration, resisting moisture and being entirely impervious to unsightly black mould. Its open time is longer compared to rival products on the market, allowing you to seal larger areas at a time and smoothly without concerns about skin forming.
Preparation
Before commencing the application, focus on removing any contaminants that are present to ensure a long-lasting, professional finish. This includes dirt, dust, grease, oil, organic growth, loose debris and flaking material. After removing everything, ensure the surface is dry, and then you're ready for the application.
Application
- Cut the top of the cartridge, taking care not to damage the threaded screw.
- Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle with an opening between 0.5mm to 30mm. The width is determined by the size of the gap to fill.
- Place the cartridge into a compatible sealant applicator tool.
- Point the tip of the nozzle at one end of the gap and apply one long, consistent bead across the gap.
- After applying the bead, you can tool it down to a smooth finish using a sealant tool or spatula that's dosed in a soapy solution.
Limitation and Notes
- Certain metals, natural stone and polycarbonate, are not suitable for use in conjunction with this product.
- This sanitary formula shouldn't replace the need for cleaning the joint.
- A total absence of UV or acidic environments can cause colour changes within the sealant.
- When tooling this product down, ensure that the soapy solution doesn't contact the surfaces; otherwise, it can interfere with the adhesion.
- Do not apply this product in areas subject to constant water immersion or for manufacturing aquariums.
- Contact with surfaces that bleed plasticisers, bitumen or tar is not compatible with this product.
