Thompson's Emergency Instant Repair Aerosol - Black 450ml

Uses

Emergency Roof Repair Mastic by Thompson's immediately repairs large holes or gaps in flat roofs. It is formulated with a unique formula, compiled of bituminous, mastic-based compound with a high solid content, which aids in bridging gaps and providing a secure seal, even in heavy rain or under ponding water. The surfaces which this product is suitable for include;

• Felt
• Asphalt
• Slate
• Tiles

Preparation

If it is raining: Brush away any ponded water from the area of repair

If it is dry: Remove any dust or dirt with a stiff brush and also carry out any structural repairs if required

Application

1. Use a trowel or pallet knife to work the mastic into the repair

For small cracks & holes: 

1. Pack the repair with a thick layer of mastic
2. Ensure you cover the whole area plus 10cm around it

For larger cracks & voids: 

1. Use a scrim bandage to reinforce the repair
2. Put a think layer of the mastic over the repair and embed the bandage into the coating

Complete the repair by covering the whole area, plus about 25cm around it.
