Instead of being separated into thin layers like most polycarbonate sheets for insulation, it is made of solid panels to optimise for durability.

This resilience makes Axgard very suitable for exterior glazing like bike shelters. 8mm sheets strike a balance between the flexibility of thin sheets and the rigidity and strength of thicker sheets. In addition, they are also more cost effective compared to the thicker sheets.
