Uses
The GP200 by Bond It is a versatile, multi-purpose sealant that has fantastic adhesion to various substrates found within a home. It's formulated with a fungicide, delivering an enhanced resistance to mould alongside defence against high-humid conditions. Therefore, this makes the product fantastic in kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and around showers, baths and tiles.
Preparation
It's vital to prepare the surfaces before attempting to seal them. Otherwise, you risk the adhesion failing to achieve optimal performance. To clean the area, you must remove and clean away any dirt, dust, grease, oil, etc. The surface should then be dried after cleaning; if not, you do risk failing performance.
Applications
- Cut the top of the cartridge, taking care not to damage the threaded screw.
- Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be filled and screw it onto the cartridge.
- Place the cartridge into a suitable sealant applicator tool.
- Point the tip of the nozzle to the gap and extrude the material, trying to keep one continuous even bead along the gap.
- After applying the sealant, you should tool it down before the skin starts to form; this should be done within 5-10 minutes of applying.
