Uses
The Quick Drying Drive Seal from Thompson's offers excellent rejuvenation to your tarmac, restoring it to its former glory! Thompson's crafted this product with a thick, black, low-sheen finish, composite of acrylic polymers, inorganic pigments and fillers in aqueous solutions. It is what allows this product to be so effective, offering outstanding resistance to unsightly oil & fuel stains.
Preparation
Prepare the tarmac by giving it a thorough scrub with a stiff, bristly brush, and this is to remove any dirt or organic growth. You can always apply a dedicated cleaner to the tarmac before eradicating any unwanted contamination. Fill holes with fresh tarmac or a cold cure tarmac if needed. Afterwards, rinse off all cleaning products and ensure the surface is dry before commencing the application.
Application
Please note that the drying times will vary depending on the environmental conditions.
- Give the tin a thorough stir before using it.
- Use a long pile roller and tray for the application.
- Pour the paint into the roller tray and fully load it onto the roller itself.
- Apply directly onto the surface, noting where you've applied it to avoid re-coating the same area before thoroughly drying.
- Ensure you keep stirring the paint to ensure it's consistently mixed.
- Wait 4 hours before applying a second coat.
Limitations
- Do not apply this product if it's raining or forecasted to rain.
