Axgard

Another one of Clear Amber Group’s many product brands, Axgard polycarbonate sheets are extremely durable. Polycarbonate is far stronger than glass, around 200 times stronger than glass of a comparable thickness as well as being lighter. Rather than use this to make thin walls like with multi-wall polycarbonate Axgard glazing panels look like regular window panels.

However, unlike windows, Axgard is nigh unbreakable and provides a much higher insulation factor. For this reason, Axgard is particularly popular to use as a secondary glazing solution or as glazing on bus shelters and in public places.

Like with Axiome, Axgard comes in different thicknesses and colours. Thinner Axgard is light and flexible, while thicker Axgard is about as tough as glazing can get. Axgard’s colour palette ranges from clear, to tinted bronze and opal shades for reduced light transmission, to gentle patterned and even opaque black.
