Sika SikaBond SBR+ - 5L

Uses

The Sika SikaBond SBR+ - 5L is an excellent admixture when creating cement or concrete. It offers improved adhesion to various substrates, including dense concrete, steel, tiles, and similar difficult surfaces.

Alongside improved adhesion, it enhances the admixture's resistance to water, chemicals, and water vapour. It is suitable for withstanding freeze-thaw cycles. This admixture is extremely versatile and can be used as a primer/sealer for tiling applications and as a flexibility enhancer for cement-based tile adhesives.

Preparation

Ensure that before commencing the application to the surface, it's cleaned and free from contaminants. That can hinder the adhesion, including dirt, dust, grease, oil, etc.

Cleaning Tools

To clean any tools used during the mixing or applications, you must use mineral spirit (white spirit) and a wire brush. Due to its powerful adhesion, the longer you allow the SBR+ to sit on tools, the harder it will be to remove.
