If installed without an extractor fan, it combats moisture that can build in the attic, which can cause structural damage. If installed with an extractor fan, you can link it to any room in the house; typically, it's applied for soil extraction.

The polystyrene compound also provides extra benefits when applied to your roof, and it defends against water and is vulnerable to corrosion.
