Uses
Fix ALL Crystal Clear by Soudal is a robust, outstanding adhesive perfect for binding various surfaces together. It can be applied internally and externally, offering substantial weathering and UV resistance for long-lasting resistance. One of the unique features of this sealant is its ability to adhere to glass whilst retaining an entirely crystal clear see-through finish. Some of the surfaces that this product adheres to include;
- Stone, Concrete, Marble, Granite, Limestone, Travertine, Cork, Rockwool, Gypsum board, Polystyrene, Glass, Mirror, Porcelain, Tiles, Brickwork, Steel, Stainless steel, Lead, Zinc, Copper, Aluminium, PVC, Polycarbonate, Wood, Timber, Plywood, MDF, Plasterboard, Fibreglass, and many more.
Preparation
Before applying this product, you should remove any contaminants that can hinder the adhesion, including dirt, dust, oil, grease and similar impurities. Porous surfaces should be primed prior, and if the surface is non-porous, you can use an activator or cleaner to prepare it for optimal adhesion.
Application
- Cut the top of the cartridge, ensuring you do not damage the threaded screw.
- Screw the nozzle onto the cartridge, cutting it at a 45° angle.
- Using a standard applicator tool, apply this product to the surface and tool down with a soapy solution on a finger or wooden spatula/spoon.
Limitations
- Please complete a compatibility test if you plan to paint over this product; many water-based paints or varnishes on the market may still not work.
- If the application area is plastic, please test the compatibility because many plastics exude toxins that may interfere with this product.
- This product is not suitable for expansion joints.
- Applications areas where constant water immersion occurs are not suitable for this product.
- This product is not suitable for the construction of aquariums.
- The colour of this product may change if exposed to UV radiation, chemicals or high temperatures. This won't affect the adhesion of this product.
- Contact with bitumen, tar, or other plasticisers releasing materials such as EPDM, neoprene, butyl, etc. It should be avoided due to these materials causing discolouration and negatively affecting the adhesion.
