The Pozi Flat Countersunk Yellow Coated Screws by Spax is an excellent, high-performance screw that penetrates the surface effortlessly. This is due to its shape not damaging the wooden surface, ensuring no wood splitting, especially around the edges, and with most wood not requiring pre-drilled holes.
The screw head Pozi was crafted by GKN Screws and Fasteners in 1962 and, still to do this day, is one of the go-to choices for screwing applications. It's an evolution of the traditional Phillip screw head, with the Pozi able to withstand added torque alongside improved resistance to cam-out. Another feature includes eight radial slots, compared to the conventional Phillips, which only has four.
