You can use a paint brush to apply Cromapol, but due to the fibres and nature of the resin, you will have to dispose of the paintbrush after you’ve finished. You also do not need to prime the area beforehand.

It is ideal to apply a layer of Cromapol to a flat roof after summer because the heat from the sun can cause minor deformities to occur in the roof. This can result in water pooling on the roof, which can lead to a wide array of damp issues and structural problems that are costly to fix.

Applying Cromapol will ensure pooling water does not penetrate the roof. Many people also add a layer of Cromapol over lead flashing and near guttering to provide an additional layer or protection.
